Summary
Activision has officially unveiled Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7, titled Phantom Current, set to launch on July 30 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.
This season brings an exciting lineup of new features, from a racing-themed multiplayer mode to the return of the iconic Gulag map, along with a major crossover event and fresh in-game rewards.
Nautical-Themed Content and Gameplay Upgrades
Building on the momentum of Season 6 “Gundams,” which launched earlier this July, Season 7 will be a slightly shorter run, but packed with content.
The upcoming update introduces a marine aesthetic throughout the game, influencing skins, weapons, and operator gear.
One of the key highlights is the addition of Mini Mayhem, a brand-new multiplayer mode featuring RC-XD car racing.
Players can compete solo or in 8-player lobbies, collect leaderboard rewards, and unlock custom vehicle skins. This mode adds a fun twist to the traditional gameplay, blending action with arcade-style racing.
Another major update is the return of the Gulag, a 1v1 battle royale map that activates when players are eliminated.
You get one free chance to re-enter the match through a duel, with additional entries available via Gulag Tickets.
The Buyback system also returns, letting teammates revive each other using in-game currency at Buy Stations.
A New Wildcard: Skill Overdrive
Season 7 introduces a new wildcard mechanic called Skill Overdrive, allowing players to equip a second Operator Skill.
This new feature changes the tactical flow of matches, introducing a risk-reward dynamic for aggressive playstyles.
