Dr. Ehab Zakaria, member of the Egyptian Senate and Assistant Secretary of the Central Housing Committee of the National Front Party, praised Egypt’s successful role in brokering a peace agreement between Palestine and Israel, describing it as a historic milestone that reaffirms the strength and wisdom of Egyptian diplomacy in handling the most sensitive regional conflicts.
Zakaria emphasized that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s leadership and strategic vision were key to achieving this breakthrough, highlighting Egypt’s role as a fair and balanced mediator that prevented the escalation of tensions into a full-scale regional conflict that could have destabilized the Middle East.
He added that this achievement reflects Egypt’s international credibility and the effectiveness of its state institutions, noting that Cairo has once again proven its ability to act as a stabilizing force in a volatile region. The peace deal, he said, restores hope to the people of the Middle East for a future built on security, cooperation, and sustainable development.
Zakaria also recalled that Egypt’s legacy of peace dates back thousands of years, referencing the Treaty of Kadesh signed by Pharaoh Ramses II, which stands as the first recorded peace treaty in human history — a timeless reminder of Egypt’s pioneering role in promoting coexistence and understanding among nations.
He concluded by stating that under President El-Sisi’s leadership, Egypt has overcome the shadow of extremism and transformed into a modern, stable state that serves as a model for balancing security, development, and regional peace.
