On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the Faculty of Commerce at Cairo University hosted the second edition of the Annual Insurance Employment Fair, organized by the Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE) in cooperation with the faculty. The event attracted more than 800 graduates from various disciplines, reflecting the federation’s commitment to empowering youth and linking academic studies with the practical demands of the labor market.
Leadership Emphasizes Youth Empowerment
In his opening remarks, Mr. Alaa El-Zoheiry, Chairman of the IFE, highlighted that empowering young professionals and supporting fresh graduates remain a top priority for the federation. He described the fair as a vital bridge between academic education and real-world employment needs, ensuring the development of a new generation capable of leading the future of Egypt’s insurance industry.
Mr. El-Zoheiry also expressed appreciation for the strategic cooperation with the Faculty of Commerce, noting that the fair’s continuity for the second year in a row reflects the sector’s commitment to nurturing new talent and integrating them into the workforce.
Academic–Industry Partnership
Professor Lubna Farid, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, emphasized that the fair represents a tangible outcome of the strategic partnership between the faculty and the IFE. She pointed out that the signed protocol between the two parties aims to graduate specialized cadres in actuarial sciences and insurance-related fields. She also conveyed greetings from Cairo University President, Professor Mohamed Sami Abdel-Sadek, who expressed his full support for this initiative despite his inability to attend in person.

Mr. Khaled Abdel-Sadek, Vice Chairman of the IFE, stressed that the fair serves as an effective platform for direct dialogue between graduates and industry leaders, enabling young people to gain practical insight into the sector’s operations and the skills required to succeed in this vital industry.
