In a special statement, Alaa El-Zoheiry, President of the Insurance Federation of Egypt, affirmed that the federation has been pursuing a long-term strategy since 2017 to establish a strong insurance culture as a core pillar of community protection and economic stability.
El-Zoheiry explained that the federation operates with a clear institutional vision aimed at reshaping how citizens perceive insurance.
“Insurance is no longer a luxury — it is a vital necessity in a world full of growing risks and rapid changes.”

He pointed out that the federation has launched several impactful public campaigns, including:
- #Stop_Writing_Save_Lives – raising awareness about the dangers of texting while driving
- #Be_Insured_Before_It_Happens – emphasizing the importance of early risk prevention
These efforts have been supported by documentary films, strategic media partnerships, and active participation in youth and university expos, all contributing to a genuine societal dialogue around insurance and risk management.
According to El-Zoheiry, these initiatives have yielded tangible results, such as the engagement of thousands of young people, millions of campaign views, and a noticeable increase in public interest in insurance solutions — particularly health, life, and accident insurance.
He stressed that the current focus is on simplifying insurance concepts using relatable language, while expanding collaboration with the media and academic institutions to ensure that insurance knowledge becomes part of everyday life.
El-Zoheiry concluded by stating:
“Our mission continues, and we won’t stop until insurance becomes a built-in part of the Egyptian mindset. Because insurance means protection, sustainable development, and smart preparation for tomorrow’s challenges.”
