The National Center of Meteorology reports that between 6.10 and 6.30 this morning, moderate to heavy rain occurred over the Hatta and Masfut sectors of Dubai and Ajman. Around 6 a.m., heavy rain was seen in the Al Munial neighbourhood of Ras al Khaimah, and at 5:55 a.m., in the Al Arad area of Al Ain.
In addition, the NCM has issued a yellow advisory for stormy seas, advising inhabitants to take extra precautions if they plan on going outside today. The waters of the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will be choppy to turbulent.
There will be convective clouds and gusty winds today, thus an orange advisory has been issued until 10 am. People are urged to take precautions and be aware as potentially dangerous weather is expected in the coming days. It is also recommended that they heed official recommendations.
Dust and sand will be blown about by the moderate winds, which may sometimes pick up speed and become forceful.
Highs in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will reach 34 and 35 degrees Celsius, respectively, with lows of 23 and 24 degrees Celsius expected.
