Fouad Sharaf El Din was a veteran actor, director, and writer from Lebanon.
He died on Tuesday after a difficult surgery on his head. He was 83 years old.
A funeral for the late star will be held at 3 p.m. on May 29 in Beirut’s Rawdat Al Shahidain graveyard.
El Din had just recently been taken to the hospital for kidney pain and was supposed to be getting better.
The late star was in the movie “El Rab Yarani” and the TV show “2024,” which were both part of the Ramadan 2024 drama run.
His health got worse, though, and he was eventually told he had a small brain tumor.
He had a hysterectomy at Notre Dame De Liban Hospital.
Before the surgery, he was in a good mood.
After El Din got better and went home, his health quickly got worse, and he lost a lot of blood.
He was taken back to Haroun Hospital and given blood.
On Wednesday, he was scheduled to have tests and x-rays done there.
El Din became famous in the 1970s and 1980s.
He was born on April 12, 1941. He was famous for playing action heroes.
Egyptian TV shows like “Malika fee El Manfa”, “Khatout Hamra”, “Halawet Elrouh”, “Ras Al-Ghoul” and “El Ab El Rohi” also featured that late star.
The 2018 Egyptian war movie “Harb Karmooz” made El Din popular for his role as General Adam Frank.
