Summary
There may be a link to the MCU because Eddie Brock wears the same clothes in Venom 3 as he did in No Way Home.
What happens to a piece of the symbiote that was left in the MCU? It has something to do with Venom in the new movie.
Venom: The Last Dance teases the action with new symbiotes that have been caught and a possible fight with a monster that kills symbiotes.
Sony Pictures has put out the first video for Venom: The Last Dance, which looks like it will be the last movie in Tom Hardy’s symbiote series that began in 2018. Both Eddie Brock and Venom are wanted for their crimes, so it looks like the parasitic pair will be running away from both humans and other symbioses. So, the new video for Venom 3 shows and hints at some important parts of the future movie.
Venom: The Last Dance, which comes out in October, is Tom Hardy’s third movie as the famous Marvel Comics bad guy Venom. Even so, that doesn’t count Venom’s short entry in the MCU at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. So, here are the top 10 biggest hints and teases for Venom: The Last Dance, some of which have to do with Eddie and Venom’s short trip to the MCU.
10: Venom 3 will start soon after the credits for No Way Home.
Eddie is still wearing the same clothes.
To begin the first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock is dressed in the same clothes he wore in Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home when he and his symbiote were accidentally sent to the MCU by Doctor Strange’s bad spell. Eddie and Brock, on the other hand, did not take part in the events of No Way Home because Eddie was drunk in Mexico. They were supposed to go find Spider-Man, but Strange’s new trick sent them back, as seen at the end of No Way Home.
So, it looks like Eddie and Venom will still be in Mexico at the start of The Last Dance, but they will soon be in the sights of a new military group whose job it seems to be to study and control symbiotes. In the same way, it looks like more symbioses will be coming to Earth as well. Along these lines, Eddie seems like he will have to watch a lot of the movie in his Mexico clothes and crocs.
9 At least one scene takes place in the MCU.
What Happened to the Symbiote Piece What was revealed?
In No Way Home, Eddie and Venom were sent back to their own worlds. In the MCU, however, a piece of Venom’s symbiote was left behind at the bar. In this way, it looked like this made it possible for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to finally meet Venom. The video for The Last Dance, on the other hand, shows that the piece of Venom has a different ending.
Ted Lasso’s character from “No Way Home,” Cristóbal Fernández, is about to touch the symbiote in the video for “Venom: The Last Dance,” but Chiwetel Ejiofor’s character stops him by putting it in a pipe. It looks like Ejiofor and his troops can move between dimensions since they are later shown chasing Eddie and Venom. He is playing a military leader with ties to a new group studying symbiotes. In that case, the symbiote piece did go back to a bar in Venom’s world, where there was an exact copy of Fernandez’s bartender, which would be very confusing.
8 Teasers in Venom: The Last Dance They caught more symbiotes. Were they looking for venom?
Multiple symbiotes are kept in containment boxes at a military base that is far away. That this group wants to keep the truth about alien life from the public hidden makes it look like catching Eddie and Venom is their top concern. In the same way, Juno Temple (Fargo and Ted Lasso) plays the group’s supposed top expert.
Based on the fact that Venom is a wanted person according to his own parasitic species, the Kylntar, these new symbiotes may have been sent to find Venom but were caught before they could. It looks like these are brand-new symbiotes in The Last Dance, since all but Venom were killed by the Life Foundation when they were caught in the first movie.
7. Patrick Mulligan’s poison is set up in Venom 3.
“The Birthplace of Death and Venom”
Detective Patrick Mulligan (Stephen Graham), played by Stephen Graham, was first seen as Toxin at the end of Let There Be Carnage. In the books, Toxin was the 100th symbiote to come from the same place where Venom and Carnage came from. That’s why Toxin is meant to be a lot stronger than most symbiotes.
In The Last Dance, it turns out that the military/science group has caught Mulligan, who seems to have become close with Toxin. Full scenes of the Toxin symbiote have not been shown yet, but it is clear that Mulligan is fighting the parasitic bond. Still, a full takeover with Mulligan as Toxin’s first host is likely to happen soon after the movie comes out in October, making her a possible Venom villain.
6: The Klyntar are to get Venom at the last dance.
Venom is a wanted aliecomingn fugitive.
As space rocks hit Earth, Venom tells Eddie in the video for The Last Dance that his home has found them. There is a good chance that a Kylntar attack is already happening. So, it’s likely that only Venom and Eddie will be able to stop it, unless they get help from Toxin, who could turn out to be a friend instead of an enemy.
No matter what, Eddie and Venom were able to delay more symbiotes from coming to Earth by beating Riot in the first Venom movie. But it looks like Venom was found in no time at all. After all, the Klyntar, a type of symbiote, are linked by a complex hivemind in the comics, and Venom does talk about this at the end of Let There Be Carnage.
5 Venom: The Last Dance Teases A Major Sequence In Las Vegas Reuniting With Mrs. Chen
Eddie and Venom spend a lot of time in The Last Dance in the desert, but it looks like they’ll get to Las Vegas in the end. Eddie and Venom’s goal in Vegas, where they were seen wearing tuxedos, is unknown. They do, however, meet up with Mrs. Chen (Peggy Lu), who ran the convenience store next to Eddie’s apartment and knew Venom from the first movie, when he and Eddie helped her store avoid being robbed.
In the most current movie, Across the Spider-Verse from Sony, Mrs. Chen had a small role that helped show that Venom’s world is part of the larger Spider-Verse/Marvel universe. Now it looks like she’ll be taking a break in a Las Vegas casino before meeting Eddie again. During one part of the video, she’s even briefly seen dancing with Venom.
4 Rhys Ifans’s part in Venom 3 isn’t clear.
He Doesn’t Look Like Curt Connors’ Lizard.
At one point, it looks like Eddie and Venom will be picked up by a family in the desert and taken to Las Vegas. It’s important to note, though, that Rhys Ifans plays the father. He played Doctor Curt Connors, aka “The Lizard,” in “The Amazing Spider-Man.” It’s hard to understand Whatans’ new role in The Last Dance is since he was just in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home with other Spider-Man bad guys who ended up in the MCU.
With both arms, a wife, and two kids, Ifans doesn’t look like the Connors he plays in Venom 3. It’s possible that he’s playing a different version of the character who never turned into the sadly deformed bad guy and instead lived in a van with his family. But that would be very strange. It’s much more likely that Ifans is playing a completely different character, with nothing to do with his much bigger part in the Spider-Verse. Fans will be very confused and angry about this choice.
3. Venom might be fighting a monster that kills symbionts. It could be a Xenophage from the comics
This movie has several scenes with a huge alien monster striking both Venom and the military camp. It might be a character from the books named Grendel. Grendel is a huge symbiote dragon that was sent to Earth by Knull the Symbiote God billions of years ago. On the other hand, it could be a Xenophage, a new type of alien from the books that eats Klyntar host brains and kills symbiotes. There does seem to be a stronger similarity to the second one.
2. Venom can merge with things that aren’t human.
The horse mode is now on.
Eddie’s ability to get Venom to bond with a horse is a key scene at the end of the first trailer for Venom 3. The horse turns black all over, including its skin, teeth, and tongue, showing that Venom can indeed bond with non-humans. One more reference to the first Venom movie comes up when Eddie loses control of the venom-filled horse in the air. Just like in the first movie’s motorcycle chase in San Francisco, Venom uses his tentacles to grab Eddie back.
1. Venom 3 Hints at Big Deaths “Till Death Do They Part”
As the last movie in Sony’s Venom series, The Last Dance looks like it will have a lot of deaths, maybe even more than one. The theme for the movie is “Till Death Do They Part,” which sounds even scarier than “The Last Dance.” Because of this, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Eddie and/or Venom gave their lives to save the world, either from the Klyntar or something worse that this first video hasn’t shown yet.
The movie Venom: The Last Dance will come out on October 25, 2024.
