The Tunisian Ministry of Defence said that the wreckage of a military helicopter that crashed into the sea off Cap Serrat in Bizerte, in the country’s far north, on June 7 of last year has been found.
In a statement released on Friday, “The Seventh Day” website reported the Ministry as saying that specialised dive teams, underwater work units, and remotely operated vehicles had been sent to find and get the wreckage.
On June 8 of last year, the Ministry said it had lost touch with the helicopter and its four-person crew. It said it had used all available naval and air resources to look for the soldiers and the wreckage in the water near Cap Serrat.
At the time, the Ministry said that it had found three bodies and parts of the wreckage. The fourth body was found on Thursday morning, June 15th.
