Amanda Bynes‘ time living under the control of her parents has officially come to an end.
According to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, the judge who is in charge of Amanda’s conservatorship case said on March 21 that the conservatorship is “no longer needed.” That decision was made on March 22.
Her lawyer told TMZ: Amanda wasn’t there when the court went to work “In this time, Amanda is grateful for the love and support from her fans, and she wants to show it. Thank you for never giving up, her family! As soon as the conservatorship is over, she can’t wait to finish her bachelor’s degree and live her life on her own.”
After a long string of weird behaviour, Amanda was placed in a conservatorship. Amanda has mostly cleaned up her life.
In November 2018, she said she had been clean for four years. She went back to treatment two months later after what was said to be a “stress-related relapse,” and she went back to treatment again. In 2020, she got engaged to Paul Michael, whom she met in Alcoholics Anonymous. She will marry him.
A few weeks ago, TMZ said that Amanda had found a place to rent in Los Angeles and said that Paul will move in with her when the conservatorship is officially removed from her. They’ve never lived together before. Amanda has been living in a sober living facility that only allows women, so this will be their first time living together.
Amanda’s situation hasn’t been nearly as dramatic as the last days of Britney Spears’ conservatorship battle.
Ex-Easy A star: The doctor who signed the papers says she no longer has “thought disorders.” In addition, she always tests negative for drugs when she’s randomly checked for drugs. One of Amanda’s conservators was her mother. She agreed with the doctor’s “capacity declaration” for the conservatorship to be over, which was the reason.
