The P4 department of the Chinese company working on the CBD project aims to establish the “Happiness Library for Construction and Certificates.”
Through this library, cultural events are organized during traditional festivals in both Egypt and China. The “Happiness Witness Library” platform is utilized to enhance cultural exchange between the two countries, presenting live stories that highlight Egyptian and Chinese cultures. This initiative fosters a sense of belonging and trust among Egyptian workers toward the company and contributes to strengthening cultural integration between Egyptian and Chinese workers.
During the construction phase of the project, the team implemented the “Luban Craftsmen Plan” (UpWe Build) and established the Luban Academy. This initiative facilitated the sharing of expertise and innovations in craftsmanship and advanced technologies, stimulating the development of the local industrial structure.
Additionally, training resources were integrated to deliver technical and training courses to young Egyptian workers, providing them with an open and dynamic platform to realize their personal and professional potential.
The project also collaborated with institutions such as the British University in Egypt, the German University in Cairo, and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, emphasizing university-industry partnerships.
One of the most notable stories that garnered widespread attention from Egyptian and Chinese media is the collaboration between Chinese mentor Zhou Fengfeng and Egyptian engineer Shafiq, under the theme “Egypt-China Cooperation in Building the Belt and Road Initiative.”
Shafiq, a key focus of the project’s training efforts, participated in numerous training programs under Zhou Fengfeng’s guidance. These programs covered theoretical construction knowledge, the latest industry trends, managerial skill development, hands-on technical training, occupational safety, language training, and cultural exchange.
Shafiq remarked: “These programs not only enhanced my professional skills and cross-cultural communication abilities but also fostered a deep friendship between me and my mentor, Zhou Fengfeng.”
