Summary
The classic folded steak is one of the most delectable cuts of beef, and there are numerous methods of cooking it. However, it is the classic method that we most desire. Here are all the necessary details to obtain a Flavorful Classic Steak.
Components:
- Four veal tenderloin steaks
- Two tablespoons of olive oil
- Two tablespoons of unadulterated butter
- 1 finely sliced tiny onion
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup of beef bouillon
- 1/4 cup of cognac or spirit
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
- Two teaspoonful Mustard from Dijon
- Two teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of freshly minced herbs
- Add salt and black pepper to flavor.
Steps:
Prepare the steaks:
Salt and black pepper should be applied to both surfaces of the beef tenderloin steaks.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the desired level of doneness is achieved. Set the steaks aside to rest after removing them from the skillet.
Prepare the sauce:
Melt the butter over medium heat in the same skillet.
Add the finely diced onion and sauté for approximately 3-4 minutes until it is softened.
Add the minced garlic and continue cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until it becomes aromatic.
Pour the brandy or cognac into the mixture with caution and allow it to simmer for approximately 1-2 minutes to achieve a minor reduction.
Incorporate the Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, heavy cream, and beef bouillon. Continue cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring it frequently, until the sauce has thickened.
Combine and serve:
Spoon the sauce over the steaks and return them to the skillet.
Cook the steaks for an additional 1-2 minutes to ensure that they are fully heated.
Sprinkle with freshly minced parsley.
Drizzle the sauce over the Steak Diane while it is still heated. Combine with your preferred side dishes to create a sophisticated dining experience.
