Sharmoofers released “Tabtabli” with legendary Egyptian actor Mohamed Henedy on Thursday.
Ahmed Bahaa composed and Flipeno wrote the lyrics. Henedy’s star-studded film “Marei El Brimo” features the song.
“Marei El Brimo” stars Lotfy Labib, Ahmed Badir, Mohamed Mahmoud, Alaa Morsi, Mustafa Abu Saree, and Nancy Salah.
Saeed Hamed directs from Ihab Blibl’s writing. Henedy conceived it.
“Marei El Brimo” follows Upper Egyptian watermelon vendors Marei and Gamalat. Marei is abducted, and the gang wants his family’s gems.
He hides the gems in two watermelons, but Gamalat sells them the next morning. Can they reclaim their inheritance?
Henedy and Adel appear in “Marei El Brimo” after 23 years. The pair’s third collaboration follows “Sa’eedi Fi Al Jami’a Al Amrikiyya” (1998) and “Belia We Demagho El Alia” (2000).
Heneidy and Hamed reconcile after 18 years. “Ya Ana Ya Khalty” was their 2005 film.
The film represents Henedy, Adel, and Saeed’s first cooperation since “Saeedi at the American University”.
The famed actor earlier said the film would be like “Saeedi at the American University,” “Hamam Fi Amsterdam,” and “Ya Ana Ya Khalty.”
