The Saipem 7000 semisubmersible crane vessel has been stabilised following a listing mishap off the coast of Norway.
According to the search and rescue centre in Stavanger HRS Sor-Norge, the vessel has levelled off and the skipper is coordinating the situation with the onboard personnel.
It stated that earlier today, a steel crane cable snapped, causing the vessel to lose its load and list.
According to HRS Sor-Norge, the incident occurred at Amoyfjorden.
There were no injuries, however the barges adjacent to the crane vessel sustained damage and capsized.
Saipem stated that it is conducting an investigation into the incident and has no additional comment at this time.
After routine maintenance and inspection in Rotterdam, the Saipem 7000 was due to resume foundation installation work at the 1.1GW Seagreen offshore wind farm off the coast of Scotland this month.
