The Dutch Royal Family, King Willem-Alexander and Princess Margriet, will not receive Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, it was reported earlier this week.
“King Willem-Alexander and Princess Margriet will attend the Invictus Games,” said a royal official. The Princess will attend the opening on April 16th and the King the closing on April 22nd.”
Despite being the Games’ patron, Prince Harry will not be granted a meeting with the Dutch Royals or a room in the Dutch Royal Palace.
The Sussexes have given up their Royal titles and obligations, therefore they will not be treated as Royals, but as VIP visitors.
They will also be provided with security guards, although they must not be armed.
