Deadline says that Bullock and Kidman are in talks to play the same parts in a follow-up to the fantasy film Practical Magic, which came out in 1998.
Goldsman will come back to write the story.
Alice Hoffman wrote the first book in 1995, and in 2021 she released a follow-up called The Book of Magic.
It’s not clear yet if Goldsman is rewriting the book or writing a new one.
There is no director attached right now.
Along with Denise Di Novi, who produced the first movie, Bullock and Kidman will also create this one.
There was a little something different about the love story in Practical Magic.
Based on Alice Hoffman’s 1995 book of the same name, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman play witch sisters Sally and Gillian Owens.
Their family has been cursed for generations with a disease that kills any man they fall in love with.
They need to use their magic to get rid of the violent boyfriend’s spirit.
Not only Goran Visnjic, but also Stockard Channing, Dianne Wiest, and Aidan Quinn were in the movie.
Putting up adsThe movie
which was directed by Griffin Dunne and had a script by Robin Swicord, Akiva Goldsman, and Adam Brooks, didn’t do well at the box office at first but has since become a popular favorite.
In 2004, a pilot for a TV show called Sudbury was made.
It was named after the town in the movie, but it wasn’t picked up for a full series.
Hoffman wrote two books that come before The Rules of Magic (2017) and Magic Lessons (2020).
Kidman has a lot going on right now.
She has the Netflix romantic comedy A Family Affair, which starts streaming on June 28,
the Netflix murder mystery series The Perfect Couple, the Amazon series Kay Scarpetta and the thriller Holland, Michigan, the second season of Paramount+’s Lioness and Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers, and Halina Reijn’s A24 movie Babygirl. Also,
things are still going on for season 3 of Big Little Lies.
Bullock was most recently seen in the critically praised Netflix movies Bird Box and The Unforgivable, as well as Bullet Train and The Lost City.
