His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church, was paid a visit by Turkish Ambassador to Egypt Saleh Mutlu Sen at his office.
Sen emphasized the significance of Turkey’s commitment to cultivating positive relationships and maintaining close communication with its Egyptian Coptic siblings during the cordial meeting.
Furthermore, the Turkish ambassador emphasized that the Embassy maintains close friendships with numerous prominent Egyptian Copts in the cultural, artistic, and economic sectors as part of its interactions with Egyptian society.
Pope Tawadros II expressed his satisfaction with the opportunity to meet Ambassador Sen, observing that Egyptian Copts have been able to practice their religion freely in Turkey and that all necessary resources are available for their devotion.
Furthermore, the Pope reiterated that they are in full support of the Palestinian people and their cause, are providing humanitarian assistance, particularly food, and are eagerly anticipating and urging a ceasefire to be implemented as soon as possible.
The position of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Palestine was received with tremendous respect and appreciation, according to him.
