Prof. Mahmoud Mohieldin – Chair of the Board of Trustees of Nile University has proposed establishing the Nile University International Advisory Board, an esteemed assembly of global leaders, scholars, and industry experts, aimed at strengthening the university’s international presence and enhancing the quality of its educational and research initiatives.
Based on the Terms of Reference issued by the university’s Board of Trustees, the International Advisory Board serves as a pivotal platform to bolster Nile University’s strategic goals, driving innovation and fostering global collaborations. Comprising distinguished members with extensive expertise across diverse fields, the board is expected to play a crucial role in advising and supporting the university’s leadership on key academic, research, and institutional advancement strategies.
A key element in the newly established board is not only the diverse background of its members, but also their geographic distribution. From Latin to North America, Europe, Africa, Far East, and the Arab World, the International Advisory Board members are coming together to collocate their experiences and wisdom guiding Nile University to a new international domain.
During their first hybrid meeting that took place at Nile University, Giza, Egypt and via online conference channel on September 6th, the International Advisory Board along with 4 members from the university’s board of trustees and 3 senior university management members explored the university’s strategic objectives, ongoing objectives and provided thoughtful recommendations towards global partnerships, quality assurance, university’s ranking and international positioning.
Prof. Mohieldin, Chair of the International Advisory Board and Prof Wael Akl, President of Nile University, expressed their profound enthusiasm for the board’s establishment, stating, “The formation of the International Advisory Board, being the first of its kind in an academic institution in Egypt, marks a significant milestone in Nile University’s journey towards becoming a globally recognized institution.
