The novel has already been adapted for the big screen twice. It debuted in 1972 as a film and later became a 1980s television series.The show centers on Dr. Hashem, a famous plastic surgeon in his mid-40s who has been in two committed partnerships but is now single again. Nevertheless, he is captivated by Ruba’s charisma and attraction, even if they are 25 years his younger.
Critics and viewers alike were impressed with the film’s stellar international premiere in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Festival, where it was a part of the Arab Spectacular Program.
