Your Honor, Bryan Cranston’s intense court drama, will be on Netflix before the end of May. Cranston plays Michael Desiato on the Showtime show, a judge whose morals are put to the test after his son is involved in a hit-and-run accident.
People like Your Honor because it has a complicated story that is based on lies, moral problems, and how far someone will go to protect their family. It’s based on the Israeli show “Kvodo,” and it shows a story with lots of tension and moral questions. Although reviewers had mixed reactions, Cranston’s performance has been praised by many, showing how he can lead a series with his dynamic presence.
Cranston shared the happy news on X (formerly Twitter),
“Hi Everyone… Happy to say that Seasons 1 and 2 of my show #YourHonor will be available on @netflix starting today, May 31st. Please watch this limited series if you haven’t already. It makes me very happy. You’ll be on the edge of your seat as you watch this story progress thanks to our great cast. Thanks, and have a great week… BC
Bryan Cranston’s moral dilemma is what drives the drama in Your Honor.
Cranston’s character, Michael Desiato, has to decide whether to protect his son, played by Hunter Doohan, who was recently in Netflix’s Wednesday. This is the final test of his morals and duty. A lot of great actors are in the show, like Michael Stuhlbarg, Carmen Ejogo, Sofia Black-D’Elia, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Hope Davis, Lilli Kay, Amy Landecker, and Margo Martindale. Fans of Breaking Bad will also enjoy seeing Mark Margolis again; he plays Carmine Conti in the second season.
Peter Moffat created the show and is both the writer and the director. Robert and Michelle King, who are known for their work on The Good Wife and its spinoff, The Good Fight, are co-executive producers. With his many years of experience writing British legal dramas, Moffat brings a lot of information to the show, even though viewers and reviewers had a hard time with it at first. The series has gotten mixed reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, with scores ranging from 50 to 60%. It has been praised for its strong acting, but criticized for its slow pace and some parts of its story.
Bryan Cranston says that there will not be a third season of Return of Your Honor.
Bryan Cranston has stated that there will not be a third season of Your Honor.
During an interview on Dax Shepard’s podcast “Armchair Expert” in 2022, Cranston said that the show was first planned as a limited series.
His other TV shows, like Malcolm in the Middle and Breaking Bad, were meant to run for more than one season.
Your Honor, on the other hand, was always meant to have a clear ending.
This was clear from the start, when it was set up as a program.
The show’s surprise return for a second season was due to how well it did in the first season, which had more watchers than any other Showtime show at the time.
Even though the show was a hit, the plot came to a reasonable end at the end of season two, with Cranston’s character, a judge who used to be respected, going back to jail to serve time for his part in a cover-up about the accident that killed his son.
This ending was a good ending to his character’s journey; there wasn’t much room for more growth without changing the show’s main idea.
Cranston has voiced interest in possibly producing a third season of Your Honor, which is interesting.
However, he isn’t sure what his part will be in the show right now because of what’s happening with his character.
He talked about the idea that the show could go in a different way, maybe becoming more of a jail drama or adding whole new characters to keep the story going.
“I’d love to produce [Your Honor season 3].” My guy is back in jail, so I’m not sure if I want to be in it.
