On March 23, National Puppy Day was observed to honour man’s best friend. All of the cutest and most adorable puppies received the royal treatment.
Colleen Paige’s mission as the founder of National Puppy Day is to help galvanise the public’s awareness of the staggering number of dogs in need of rescue each year. Additionally, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your dog’s supermodel side and to lavish them with extra cuddles in exchange for all the joy they bring. So relax and enjoy the never-ending stream of adorable puppy photos, but keep in mind that today may be the best day of the year to bring home your own fluffy canine as your new best friend.
Colleen Paige established National Dog Day in 2004, which was later adopted by the New York State Legislature in 2013. This day is observed on August 26 and commemorates the day Colleen adopted her first dog, “Sheltie,” at the age of ten.
Colleen has since inspired millions with her compassion and drew global attention to animals in need. She has shed light on dogs who risk their lives daily for personal protection, law enforcement, the disabled, our liberty, and our safety.
National Puppy Day and National Dog Day have become excellent opportunities to adopt a dog, as shelters typically receive the most dogs during the summer. Each year, these national holidays inspire and remind people to adopt, donate, and care for their animals more.
