Moses J Moseley, 31, was discovered dead in January after being reported missing. According to a US coroner, the actor died of a gunshot wound to the head.
The actor, 31, died in January, with few details about his cause of death revealed.
However, his death certificate, obtained by TMZ, indicates that the actor died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head, although the coroner has yet to determine whether his death was accidental or suicide.
Henry County, Georgia, released the autopsy report into Moseley’s death on Monday. According to reports, the report’s examiner, doctor Rachel Geller, wrote: “At the time this report is issued, the available information does not establish suicidal intent.”
“This case may be revisited if additional information becomes available.”
Moseley was well-known for his role as a pet zombie on the popular US show. Following his death, fans and The Walking Dead’s official account paid tributes online.
“Moses was an extraordinary actor… but he was SO MUCH MORE than that; he was an AMAZING person!” Avery Sisters Entertainment, the company behind The Walking Dead, stated.
“To those who knew him, he was the most generous, kind, and gentle person you could ever meet. We will sorely miss you! Rest in peace, in Heaven!”

Moseley portrayed a pet walker for Danai Gurira’s character Michonne in the zombie apocalypse series.
Jeremy Palko, who co-starred on the show as Andy, expressed his “heartbreak” over the news.
“A truly wonderful and kind human being. My friend, you will be missed,” he wrote.
Moseley, born in Aiken, South Carolina, has also appeared in television series such as Queen of the South and American Soul.
He also appeared on HBO’s Watchmen and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in 2013.
