Mohamed Salama’s forthcoming film “Kundalini” will feature Tunisian actor and director Dhafer L’Abidine and Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby in a reimagining of Mirna El Helbawi’s novel.
Principal photography is anticipated to commence in Egypt and India in the near future.
This marks the duo’s second collaboration following the debut of “Neran Sadeqa” in 2013.
L’Abidine, who graduated from the Birmingham School of Acting on November 26, 1972, made his acting debut in the United Kingdom.
He was the protagonist of BBC’s Spooks, ITV’s The Bill, and Sky One’s Dream Team. He was also the lead actor in “A Hologram for the King” and “The Mark of Cain” as Omar Abdullah.
L’Abidine achieved widespread recognition in Tunisia as “Dali” in the Tunisian television series “Maktoub.”
He subsequently participated in television productions in the Arab world, particularly in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon. These productions included series and programs such as “Arous Beirut,” “Prince of Poets,” and “Taht Al Saytara.”
