in Stanton, Texas bought the former BF White Motor Co. from Sam Toliver and Shelton Toliver in February.
Bailey Toliver Ford was renamed in its place. Shelton Toliver is the general manager of Sam Toliver’s dealership.
According to Tom Choate, an Abilene, Texas attorney who represented the buyers, Ronda Ireton was the selling company’s main shareholder in the Feb. 16 deal.
His wife, Ronda Ireton, was married to Danny Ireton, who had worked his way up from service technician to owner of the Ford dealership. On top of that, Danny Ireton was an active member of the fire department as a volunteer. According to the local CBS network, he was murdered in a road accident on August 4, 2021, while responding to an emergency call. According to his obituary, he was 61 years old.
Ireton’s death necessitated the rewriting of the buy-sell deal, which was already in place at the time, according to Toliver.
Family-owned and operated, the Bailey Toliver RV dealerships can be found all over the state of Texas. They are named after Sam Toliver’s deceased father.
His other business ventures include owning the former Bailey Toliver Chevrolet in Haskell (Texas) for the past 17 years. Mitch Hall Chevrolet has taken over that location.
Ford’s Stanton franchise dates back to 1929, according to Toliver. In a “strong year,” he said, the dealership sells around 550 new vehicles annually, including fleet and retail vehicles.
Most of its revenue has come from fleet sales, he said. A big oil resource, the Permian Basin, lies close, he continued, and the energy industry is all around the town.
Toliver stated that he intends to relocate the business to a new location along the I-20 freeway bypass and next to this RV store in Stanton, which is a few miles away.
“Ignore it. I intend to make a brand-new one “he stated. A small, rural town’s downtown houses the original.
Cotton Bledsoe Tighe & Dawson attorney Dan Leroy advised the seller throughout the transaction in Midland, Texas.
