BLACKPINK member Lisa’s visual for her viral song “Money” has surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube, further shattering records.
The visual, which was initially published in 2021, surpassed the milestone on YouTube on Monday.
The Thai singer has previously accomplished this feat with the group, whose music videos for songs such as “Ddu-du Ddu-du” and “Boombayah” have also exceeded the threshold.
Lisa has become the second member of the band to achieve the milestone of reaching the mark with a single music video, and the third solo K-pop artist to do so overall, with this accomplishment.
She emulates the success of Psy’s viral 2012 hit “Gangnam Style” and her bandmate Jennie’s 2018 solo debut single “Solo.”
Lisa and her company LLOUD recently announced a new partnership with RCA Records for her future solo compositions, which coincides with the achievement of this milestone.
Additionally, the K-pop idol will maintain complete ownership of all of her recordings as part of the agreement.
