The Korean Cultural Center hosted a cultural day for the audience of the Egyptian Public Library in Port Said Wednesday under the theme “Korean Cultural Caravan”.
The Korean Cultural Caravan started at 1 p.m., with about 600 individuals in attendance.
In addition to a painting class and three talks on the foundations of Korean language, the Caravan included an exhibition of Korean traditional culture and cuisine.
The Cultural Caravan was welcomed by Mamdouh Al-Tabei, Director of Masr Public Library in Port Said, who noted the popularity of Korean culture in Port Said.
He praised the library’s collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center and expressed excitement about upcoming Korean language classes in Port Said.
He said the centre allowed library users to learn about Korean culture.
A cultural caravan initiated in 2017 was stopped in 2020 owing to the COVID-19. The Caravan in Port Said, Egypt’s cultural capital this year, was restructured in light of Egypt’s steady health status.
The Center wants to host cultural caravans in various Egyptian regions to promote cultural interaction and mutual understanding between Egypt and South Korea.
Visitors from various places commended the Cultural Caravan for introducing fundamental Korean culture.
