The company that manages BabyMonster, also known as Baemon, said that their new South Korean girl group will finally make their appearance in November.
That group will be the first girl group to sign with the label since BLACKPINK did so in 2016.
“Powerful mood” will be in BabyMonster’s first song, according to YG. In a news statement, the label said, “To get the best output, we have been extra careful about the lead track.”
“All of the preparations are done, and when the girl group makes its official debut in November, we plan to keep moving forward at full speed, so please look forward to BABYMONSTER.”
Plus, the group is working on the dance moves for the song and will film the music video for the single later this month.
BabyMonster was supposed to come out in September at first. It was said at the time that the agency had picked a “strong hip-hop song” for the group to start out with.
Earlier this year, Yang Hyun-suk, the head of YG Entertainment, revealed that the new girl group would have all seven members from the group’s web show Last Evaluation. This was after saying earlier that the group would only have five members. Ahyeon, Ruka, Chiquita, Haram, Pharita, Rora, and Asa make up the final group.
Through the Last Evaluation, the members were put through tests so that YG Entertainment could decide who would make their debut. In the show, the girl group covered famous songs like “Traitor” by Olivia Rodrigo and “Stay” by BLACKPINK.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK are still talking about renewing their contract with YG Entertainment. This is because they just celebrated their seventh anniversary earlier this year. During the talks, rapper Jennie put out a special solo single called “You & Me.” The song was first played on the “Born Pink” world tour.
