Hyundai brand sales in the United States fell 4.5 percent in the first quarter, a smaller fall than the total market decline. Consumer demand for electrified Hyundai vehicles, which include hybrids, plug-in hybrids, full cells, and electric vehicles, has remained robust, accounting for approximately 16% of the brand’s whole lineup, according to Hyundai sales chief Randy Parker.
Genesis continues to grow, with the GV70 and GV80 crossovers leading the way. The luxury brand’s first-quarter sales climbed by 43%, and March was the brand’s highest month ever, marking the brand’s 16th consecutive month of growth. Genesis established its first standalone store in the United States this month in Lafayette, Louisiana.
The Electrified GV70 is a premium all-wheel-drive electric crossover with contemporary styling, a spacious interior, and a slew of advanced technology, including vehicle-to-load capability and smart regeneration, which recovers energy based on driving behaviour, real-time navigation, and road conditions.
