General Motors is setting up a new group called commercial growth strategies and operations to run the company’s cross-brand retail and fleet sales, electric vehicle operations, and commercialization of new business opportunities.
Steve Hill, 60, who has been vice president of global Chevrolet since 2019, will lead the new group, General Motors said in a statement Monday. Hill has been with the company since 2019.
Hill will be in charge of the GM Fleet, U.S. sales operations, and EV retail teams.
Commercial Growth Strategies and Operations is well-equipped with this team of leaders to keep GM dealers profitable and grow the company, says Steve Carlisle, the president of GM North America, in a statement.
Scott Bell, the president of GM Canada, will take over for Hill as the global vice president of Chevy.
She will be the president of GM Canada. Marissa West, 40, is the executive chief engineer for global midsize trucks and medium-duty trucks and vans, and she will become the head of GM in Canada.
All changes in leadership take place on April 1.
