Ezra Miller, a US actor, was detained in Hawaii on suspicion of assaulting a lady.
According to authorities, the Fantastic Beasts star flung a chair at the woman, leaving her with a laceration to her forehead.
Miller was arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of second-degree assault at a private residence in Pahoa, Hawaii’s Big Island, following reports of the attack.
This is the second time in recent weeks that the 29-year-old has been arrested.
According to the Hawaii Police Department, the actor became “enraged” before hurling the chair.
‘Half-inch cut’ “Shortly after 01:00 HST (12:00 GMT) on Tuesday, April 19 2022, a 29-year-old Vermont visitor was detained for second-degree assault following an incident at a Pahoa property,” the police department stated in a statement.
“Police determined during their investigation that the individual, later identified as Ezra Miller, became enraged upon being asked to leave and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead, resulting in a roughly half-inch cut.”
The woman “refused treatment” for her injury, police added.
Miller was arrested and charged with harassment and disorderly behaviour during an incident last month at a karaoke bar.
The actor allegedly grabbed a microphone from a female singer and lunged at a man playing darts after becoming enraged by a rendition of Shallow from the film A Star Is Born.
Last Monday, the man and woman involved with the incident withdrew their plea for a temporary restraining order against Miller.
Their attorney declined to comment on the cause for the delay.
Miller is best known for roles in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Trainwreck, and the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
They are set to star as the Flash in DC’s upcoming film The Flash, which is scheduled to arrive next year.
However, according to Rolling Stone claims, Warner Bros. and DC executives met following Miller’s initial arrest and agreed to put any future projects with the actor on hold.
