The Egyptian Football Association (EFAspokesperson, )’s Waleed Al Atar, confirmed on Monday that the country’s next manager will be unveiled on February 12.
Due to the national team’s failure to qualify for the World Cup, Carlos Queiroz was fired by the European Football Association.
Queiroz’s dismissal came after his team failed to win any titles or even qualify for the World Cup, which was the primary reason for his appointment in the first place and the ultimate goal of his tenure in Egypt.
Over the course of his national team career, Queiroz won 13 games, drew two, and lost five games, two of which were during the Arab Cup.
“The EFA’s board of directors has the opportunity to consider any and all possibilities,” he added.
