This November, Moana returns to the big screen in a brand-new feature film that stars Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson as Moana and the demigod Maui, respectively.
Moana 2, a film produced by Walt Disney Animated Studios, will be released exclusively in theaters on November 27, 2024. The film reunites Moana and Maui for a new, extensive journey, this time with a fleet of unlikely seafarers.
After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana is compelled to embark on a perilous voyage to the remote seas of Oceania, where she will encounter hostile, long-lost waters. This adventure will be unlike any she has ever experienced.
Moana 2 is a film directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller, and produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino. The soundtrack includes music by Grammy® winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaʻi, and three-time Grammy winners Mark Mancina.
