Thousands of protesters seeking a lasting ceasefire flocked to the streets of Manhattan, New York, to voice their opposition to the current Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip.
In addition, the protesters called for the punishment of Israeli authorities for the catastrophic war in Gaza. According to Russia Today, the demonstrators criticized the ongoing “international silence on Israel’s genocide.”
Since the start of the conflict in Gaza, demonstrations in favor of the Palestinian people have taken place in New York and other American cities.
There were protests in front of the Brooklyn Museum, but 22 people were detained by the NYPD after some of them were accused of breaking the law.
