In the summer, we need easy and tasty meals all the time. Pasta with chicken is a tasty food that both kids and adults love. This is a tasty dish of honey pepper chicken that is both sweet and spicy, served with creamy macaroni cheese.
WHAT’S IN IT
FOR CHICKEN WITH HONEY PEPPER:
Chicken breasts that are 1 pound and have no bones or skin on them, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/4 cup honey
2 teaspoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of Sriracha sauce (adjust the heat to your liking)
Two cloves of chopped garlic
1 teaspoon of chopped ginger
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
Add salt to taste
2 tablespoons of oil for plants
1 tablespoon nuts made from sesame seeds
Green onions cut up (for decoration)
WHAT YOU NEED FOR CREAMY MACARONI CHEESE:
For 8 ounces of elbow macaroni
2 sticks of butter
2 tablespoons of regular flour
One cup of milk
1 cup of cheddar cheese, shred
Add salt and pepper to taste.
HOW TO DO IT
How to Make Honey Pepper Chicken:
GET THE SAUCE READY:
Add the honey, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, ginger, black pepper, and salt to a bowl. Use a whisk to mix the ingredients together.
GET THE CHICKEN READY:
Put the vegetable oil in a big pan and heat it over medium-high heat.
It will take about 5 to 6 minutes of cooking after adding the chicken pieces to the pan until they are golden brown and fully cooked.
ADD THE SAUCE:
Put the honey pepper sauce on top of the chicken that is already cooked in the pan. Use a spoon to spread the sauce out over the chicken.
For another two to three minutes, or until the sauce gets a little thicker and caramelizes, remove from heat.
FINISH:
Before serving, sprinkle the honey pepper chicken with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
How to Make Creamy Macaroni Cheese:
TO MAKE THE PASTA:
Follow the directions on the package to cook the elbow pasta until it is al dente. Remove the water and set it aside.
HOW TO MAKE THE CHEESE SAUCE:
Melt the butter over medium heat in a different pot.
To make a roux, stir in the all-purpose flour. Cook for one to two minutes, until the mixture is lightly brown.
Slowly whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth and thick.
Turn down the heat and add the chopped cheddar cheese. Mix it in until it melts and becomes smooth.
Add pepper and salt to taste.
ADD SAUCE TO THE PASTA:
When the pasta is done, add it to the cheese sauce and stir it in until everything is well mixed and hot.

The Creamy Macaroni Cheese should be served with the Sweet and Spicy Honey Pepper Chicken.
