Cheb Khaled, the Algerian icon singer, is working on a new song with Mohamed Mounir, aka “The King” of Algerian music.
In conjunction with Cheb Khaled’s visit to Egypt, a music video for the track will be shot, and it is expected to be released during the holy month of Ramadan.
The veteran singer is also collaborating with a number of other songmakers and singers on new material, including Akram Hosny, Mohamad Mohie, and Hamid El Shari, among others.
Mounir is regarded as one of the best singers in the Middle East. Following the completion of his military service, he signed with the Sonar record label and released his debut solo album, “Alemony Eneeki,” in 1977.
The superstar has released more than 22 official albums and six soundtrack albums on a variety of different record labels over the course of his career.
Mounir’s musical career spanned more than three decades, during which time he performed in a variety of genres such as classical Egyptian music, Nubian music, blues, jazz, and reggae, among others.
