Summary
Even though the New Year’s Eve spectacular put on by Burj Khalifa can be seen from miles away in Downtown Dubai, tens of thousands of people are still anticipated to be in the neighbourhood for the event.
It has already been revealed that this year’s event would seek to achieve new world records, and that it will transform the world’s tallest tower into “a dazzling light of hope, happiness, and peace for 2023.”
The much-anticipated evening will include not just the customary laser light and fireworks extravaganza, but also a spectacular at the Dubai Fountain, which will involve the use of water.
Therefore, if you are interested in going to the major event, the information that follows is essential information regarding the evening.
Reservations made in advance
It is recommended that you get in touch with the area’s restaurants and cafés well in advance of the New Year’s Eve rush, since the most of them, if not all of them, will need reservations in advance. It is expected that the locations will have further information on the processes for their separate New Year’s Eve festivities, including specifics regarding parking, as well as information regarding the watching of fireworks.
If you want to see the spectacle from the streets of Downtown Dubai, there is no need to make reservations, register, or purchase tickets since there won’t be any. It will be on a first-come, first-served basis for those who want to attend.
Parking and transportation options
Because the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard will be restricted to both public and private means of transportation beginning at 6 p.m., customers who have reservations at a hotel or restaurant are strongly encouraged to come early.
The Dubai Mall will have parking accessible until it is full, so long as you get there early. Prior to the route being closed, taxi services will continue as usual.
It is anticipated that the road would reopen between the hours of 1 and 2 in the morning. When the road is reopened, only then will motorists be allowed to take their vehicles out of the parking lots of the hotels, apartments, and restaurants that are located inside Downtown Dubai and The Dubai Mall.
When the Dubai Mall reaches its maximum capacity, the corresponding metro station will be shut down.
Gaining access through the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard
Access to the road leading into Downtown Dubai will be possible via one of five gates:
Gate 1 is located behind the Downtown Command Centre Gate 2 is located behind Burj Vista Gate 3 is located next to Emaar Square and is adjacent to the Boulevard Plaza Building
Gate 4 is located opposite the Boulevard address, while Gate 5 is located opposite the Downtown address.
