Today, June 3, 2024, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi welcomed Prime Minister (PM) Mostafa Madbouly, who tendered the resignation of his government.
Sisi assigned Dr. Mostafa Madbouly the responsibility of assembling a new administration composed of people who have exceptional qualifications, experience, and skills.
The primary goal of the new government is to preserve the elements that determine Egypt’s national security in the face of regional and global threats.
In order to capitalize on the successes in these areas, it will emphasize the development of Egyptian citizens, particularly in the areas of health and education. It will also carry out ongoing efforts to increase political participation and address security, stability, and counterterrorism concerns.
In order to reaffirm the ideas of citizenship and social harmony, it will also emphasize the development of cultural awareness, national consciousness, and the encouragement of a moderate religious discourse.
The president’s instructions for forming the new government also included carrying on with economic reform, emphasizing the growth of the private sector, drawing in and boosting foreign and local investments, and removing all barriers to price control, inflation control, and market regulation. This is a component of an all-encompassing analysis of the state’s economic performance.
In addition, the president commanded that the present administration continue to operate until a new one is established.
