Barcelona, Spain, officially signed a deal with German coach Hansi Flick to take over as technical director of the Blaugrana after Xavi Hernandez was fired.
In a formal statement, the club said that Hansi Flick and FC Barcelona had agreed that Flick would lead the first men’s football team until June 30, 2026.
The statement also said that the new coach signed the deal at the club’s offices, where Barcelona President Joan Laporta was also present. And Rafa Yusti, who is senior vice president and in charge of the sports sector.
Hansi Flick, who used to coach Germany, will get a fixed pay of 3 million euros. He will also get an extra 1 million euros if he wins the Champions League and 750,000 euros if he wins the Spanish League.
