Asser Yassin will star in “Nesat Kelmt Al Ser” (I Forgot The Password) during Ramadan 2024.
The TV adaption of Hassan Kamal’s novel premiered during Ramadan 2023.
“Nesat Kelmt Al Ser” is a 15-episode series about an Egyptian athlete with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, like former football player Moamen Zakaria.
It highlights Egypt’s social and political events throughout the past decade.
Yassin, born February 25, 1981, began his career on the American University in Cairo stage.
Director Khairy Beshara cast him in “Qalb Habiba” in 2006 and “The Yacoubian Building” in 2007.
“Zay El Naharda” (2008) was Yassin’s first big film.
He starred with Mahmoud Yassin in “El Waad” (The Promise) the same year.
Yassin won Best Actor at the Carthage Film Festival and Malmö Arab Film Festival for his work in Daoud Abdel Sayed’s “Messages from the Sea” in 2010.
