Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s head coach, lauded Mohamed Elneny for his heroic performance against Chelsea in the Premier League.
Chelsea hosted Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in the 2021/22 Premier League’s gameweek 33.
The first half was extremely close, with each side scoring twice.
Arsenal increased their dominance on the pitch in the second half, scoring two additional goals to seal a 4-2 victory.
“It’s quite straightforward,” Arteta explained. “As I’ve stated numerous times, it’s the manner in which they train. If you look at the training session we had on Sunday following the defeat, if you look at how Mo Elneny, Rob Holding, and Nicolas Pepe trained – I believe that is why we won.
“I told them before the game that good things happen to good people, and we have some truly wonderful people in that dressing room.
“That is evident during difficult times when they are not involved, but not during happy times. They have performed well today as a result of their self-care and commitment to the team.”
