On Friday, local Saudi media stated that Riyadh-based football club Al Nassr officially signed with Cristiano Ronaldo for two and a half seasons. Ronaldo is an internationally renowned football legend.
The Saudi newspaper “Al Riyadiyah” said in a tweet that the formal contract between Al Nassr and the Portuguese star had been signed.
CR7 will reportedly serve as an ambassador for the candidature files of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Greece to host the World Cup in 2030, as was previously reported by the Spanish publication Marca.
There have been a number of rumours circulating that Ronaldo would be joining the Saudi Al-Nasr club in time for the next winter transfer window. (see details)
It has been reported by the Spanish publication Marca that he would be travelling to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, in order to sign a contract that states he will be playing for the Al-Nasr club for the next two and a half seasons.
According to the article in the newspaper, Ronaldo will continue to play for success until the year 2025. After that, he will transition into the role of an ambassador for the file of Saudi Arabia’s bid together with Egypt and Greece to host the World Cup in 2030.
According to the report in the Spanish daily, the club would be forced to go with the services of three international players in order to make room for Ronaldo without breaching the regulations governing financial control.
