Photographs shot from orbit by a French astronaut show the Suez Canal, Cairo Airport, and the Giza Pyramids of Egypt.
An astronaut presently on board the International Space Station has tweeted a series of images taken from orbit of the Giza Pyramids and Suez Canal.

For the next six months, he will be the first French commander of the International Space Station (ISS).
He tweeted, “The pyramids and Suez canal, or when marvels of the globe meet the contemporary era.
From orbit, it’s easy to see why Egypt is one of the most well-known countries in the world. Casting your look out over the surrounding desert, you’ll see gorgeous and interesting formations that neither I nor anybody else will ever be able to witness in person. “It’s too hostile,” he continued.
