Wolfsburg have declared their intention to recall Omar Marmoush following his loan spell with VfB Stuttgart.
Marmoush was loaned to Bundesliga rivals Stuttgart by Wolfsburg three weeks into the current season.
Since then, the 23-year-old has enjoyed perhaps his greatest season at the highest level. Marmoush has started the majority of his 17 matches this season, scoring three goals and assisting on four others.
Jörg Schmadtke, Wolfsburg’s managing sports director, spoke to Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung about the player’s condition and the club’s plans for him following his loan term with Stuttgart.
“He is making his way back to us,” Schmadtke stated.
“He has made significant progress. You can see his potential, and he is utilising it more frequently now than he was with us.
“Now that Marmoush has Bundesliga experience under his belt, our opinion of the child has entirely changed,” he continued.
