DENVER – The Packers nearly duplicated their previous loss in Las Vegas, as they played inadequately in the first half and then had an opportunity to win the game that was intercepted.
Sunday in Denver, the Broncos held on for a 19-17 victory, lowering the Packers to 2-4 on the season.
The Broncos are currently 2-5.
Green Bay trailed 9-0 at halftime, including a missed field goal, but scored three times in the second half, including a deflected touchdown pass to WR Jayden Reed on fourth down, to take a 17-16 lead.
The Packers had one final opportunity after the Broncos responded with a fourth-quarter drive that resulted in a field goal to regain the lead at 19-17.
Green Bay drove to the 44-yard line of Denver, but a holding penalty on Elgton Jenkins moved the Packers back to midfield. Then, on third-and-20, S P.J. Locke intercepted QB Jordan Love’s deep pass intended for WR Samori Toure.
Love completed the game 21-of-31 for 180 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception for a passer rating of 90.8. RB AJ Dillon rushed 15 times for 61 yards and caught two passes for 34 yards.
RB Aaron Jones rushed eight times for 35 yards and caught three passes for 22 yards. TE Luke Musgrave had four receptions for 30 yards before he was injured on a tackle that led to the ejection of S Kareem Jackson. Doubs caught two passes for 30 yards and a touchdown, while Reed caught three passes for 21 yards and a touchdown.
Russell Wilson completed 20 of 29 passes for 194 yards, one touchdown, and a 98.9 passer rating for the Broncos.
Courtland Sutton caught six passes for 76 yards and a touchdown, and Jerry Jeudy caught five passes for 64 yards. Javonte Williams carried the ball 15 times for 82 yards, while Jaleel McLaughlin carried the ball five times for 45 yards.

Denver entered Green Bay’s red zone after converting a third-and-5 situation with a 9-yard slant pass to Sutton.
On second-and-8, Kingsley Enagbare and Lukas Van Ness combined to force Wilson out of the pocket and into tossing the ball away.
On the play, Packers defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt was injured.
Wyatt has a knee injury and his return is uncertain.
With 13:14 remaining in the first half, Preston Smith pressured Wilson into flinging the ball away on third down, and the Broncos settled for a 29-yard field goal by Wil Lutz to extend their lead to 6-0.
Love completed his first pass to Christian Watson for six yards and the first down following a Denver offsides penalty.
